Kandy is a vibrant city with lots of activity. Being the second largest city after Colombo. It is located in the Central Province, with large rivers and parks. Some of the views are simply spectacular.

Declared a world heritage site by UNESCO in 1988, Kandy hosts one of the most important relics in the buddhist world, the Temple of the Tooth.

Other attractions include a large artificial lake called Kandy Lake, the Botanical Gardens and the Royal Palace. Take a gentle walk around the lake and stop off at Garden Cafe for a drink and some local food.
