Our other destinations in Angola are Luanda and Lubango
The Namibe province is part of the Namib desert from Namibia. Located about 1,200 km from Luanda and 225km from Lubango. On the way to Namibe province from Lubango, you will have to pass Serra da Leba.
Serra da Leba
Serra da Leba is a mountain range. Located about 50 km from Lubango. It is a mountain pass built by the Portuguese and connects two important cities, Lubango and Namibe. The pass has 56 curves. One of the curves is called the “curve of the Cubans” because of the frequent accidents that took place here.
The Namib Desert
The Namib Desert covers an area of 310,000 km2. It is one of the oldest and one of the most barren deserts in the world. It runs along the Atlantic coast, from the Olifants River, in South Africa, to Bentiaba, in southern Angola.
Some of the activities you can do in Namibe are kiteboarding, abseiling, kitesurfing and windsurfing. In addition to this, it’s great for diving, scuba diving and boat rides. Let’s not forget the turkish baths on offer if that’s your thing.
Whatever you choose to do in Angola, it will be a unique and memorable experience of a lifetime, with a Guides4me guide, who will look after you and by the end of the trip you’ve made a best friend.
