Meknes is a historic city in northern Morocco.
It is known for its calm charm and royal past. Once the capital of Morocco under Sultan Moulay Ismail, it offers a mix of grand architecture and relaxed atmosphere. It’s less busy than Marrakesh or Fes, making it a great spot for a quieter visit.
One of the top sights in Meknes is Bab Mansour, a huge and beautifully decorated gate at the entrance to the old city.
