Located on the east coast of Kenya, Mombasa is the second largest city in Kenya after Nairobi. It has a huge port and an international airport, hence it is an important regional tourism hub.

An interesting place to visit is Fort Jesus built between 1593 and 1596. By order of King Philip II of Spain, to guard the Old Port of Mombasa. UNESCO now lists Fort Jesus as a World Heritage site, therefore make sure you add it to your sightseeing list.

Why not escape the traffic and visit Haller Park? Its natural beauty will amaze you. It is set in Bamburi, Mombasa, on the Kenyan coast. Although originally a quarry wasteland, it has had a major facelift. Now It is an ecological area with a Nature Trail.
