Instagram Data Shows World’s Most Beautiful Beaches

Many people use Instagram for travel inspiration. With this in mind, a UK website has published a list of the world’s most beautiful beaches by using data from over 26 million Instagram hashtags.

The team at Money.co.uk researched some of the most popular beaches in the world, then used the distance calculator on Google Maps to check their lengths. By searching through Instagram hashtags, they were able to find out how many photos were taken at each beach. They then divided that number by the length of the beach to calculate how many pictures were shared per meter.

The beach with the most Instagram posts per metre, as of June 2021, were called the most beautiful.

Number One  Kelingking Beach, Nusa Penida, Bali, Indonesia

4,227 photos per metre

Bali’s Kelingking Beach is at the top of the list. There were over 338,000 photos of this beach on Instagram in June. And with its bright blue waters and beautiful cliffs, it’s easy to understand why!
