Meet Latifa. Your Local Guide in Sicily. Born in Tunisia to German-Tunisian parents and raised in Germany. Latifa has always had an international outlook. Today, Latifa loves welcoming travellers from all over the world and introducing them to the culture, history and everyday life of Sicily. For her, guiding is about much more than simply showing the main sights. She enjoys meeting new people, sharing stories and helping visitors experience Sicily through the eyes of someone who genuinely loves living there.

Total cost for the guide services of Latifa for one day (8 hours) = a booking fee of 39 Euro by Paypal, debit / credit cards, bank transfer or Crypto Currency plus 160 Euro in cash to Latifa after her services. This makes a total of 199 Euro.

This excludes any transport, entrance fees or any food & beverage costs.

“Latifa showed us parts of Sicily we would never have discovered on our own and shared her love of local culture, traditions and everyday Sicilian life. It felt less like a tour and more like exploring Sicily with a friend. We would highly recommend Latifa..” – Akhill, India.

Discover Agrigento, Sicily

Agrigento is one of Sicily’s most important historic destinations. It lies on the southern side of the island and is best known for the spectacular Valley of the Temples. This UNESCO World Heritage Site contains some of the finest surviving ancient Greek temples outside Greece. The Temple of Concordia is the most famous, while visitors can also see the Temple of Juno, Temple of Heracles and the remains of the enormous Temple of Olympian Zeus.

Things to See and Do

The Valley of the Temples is the main attraction and deserves several hours. Nearby, visitors can explore the Kolymbethra Garden, filled with citrus trees, olives and Mediterranean plants. Agrigento’s historic centre is also worth exploring. Walk along Via Atenea, discover narrow streets and visit the Cathedral of San Gerlando. For something completely different, head to the nearby Scala dei Turchi, famous for its dramatic white cliffs overlooking the Mediterranean.

Agrigento From Palermo and Ragusa

Agrigento is around 130 km from Palermo, with the drive taking approximately 2 hours. From Ragusa, it is around 130–135 km, with a journey time of approximately 2 hours 20 minutes. This makes Agrigento a good stop when travelling through southern Sicily, although it is best enjoyed as a dedicated day trip.

Food and Culture

Agrigento is a wonderful place to enjoy traditional Sicilian food. Expect pasta, aubergines, tomatoes, olives, local cheeses, almonds, pistachios and fresh seafood. Sicilian favourites such as arancini, caponata, cannoli, granita and almond pastries are also easy to find.

Agrigento’s culture reflects thousands of years of Greek, Roman, Arab, Norman and Sicilian history. This mixture can be seen in its architecture, food and local traditions.

Why Book a Local Guide?

The Valley of the Temples is a large archaeological site, and much of its history is easy to miss without explanation. A local guide can bring the ruins to life, explain the stories behind the temples and help you make the most of your time. They can also introduce you to Agrigento’s historic streets, local food, viewpoints and places away from the main tourist route. A private guide makes the experience more personal and flexible.

No matter your chosen adventure in Sicily, it promises to be an unparalleled and unforgettable experience with a Guides4me guide. They’ll not only take care of you throughout the journey but also become your newfound best friend by the trip’s end. Your time in Sicily is more than just a tour. It’s a chance to forge a lasting connection and create memories that will last a lifetime with your dedicated Guides4me companion.
