London is the capital of England with iconic buildings such as Big Ben, Buckingham Palace and the Houses of Parliament. In addition, Westminster Abbey is one of the most important gothic buildings in England. It is the resting place of 17 kings and queens of England.

Hampton Court, Kensington Palace and St. Paul’s Cathedral are all designed by the architect Christopher Wren. These are a must see when visiting the capital. When it comes to art, The National Gallery has paintings from the 13th to the 19th centuries. Not forgetting the British Museum and the Victoria & Albert Museum. which are both free of charge to all visitors.

Don’t forget Borough Market which dates back to the 13th Century. Other markets you may enjoy include Covent Garden and Camden Market. Camden is now famous for hippy stalls and vegan food stalls.

However London is not all about museums and historic buildings. There are some great open spaces like Hyde Park, St. James’s Park or Regent’s Park.

Whatever you choose to do in London, it will be a unique and memorable experience of a lifetime, with a Guides4me guide, who will look after you and by the end of the trip you’ve made a best friend.
